We have invested in new vehicles which comply with the “Ultra Low Emissions” regulations. We also own purpose-built box trailers which are aerodynamically shaped. These hold more equipment than standard trailers, resulting in fewer journeys and increased fuel efficiency. Moving forward, the fleet will gradually be upgraded to all-electric.

We regularly maintain all our vehicles to the highest standard in order to keep emissions and fuel consumption to a minimum.

Managing internal processes to achieve the desired outcome

We manage our logistics with the environment in mind, aiming to reduce our pollution by spending the least amount of time on the road as possible. All operational staff are trained to ensure that order accuracy, loading and route planning are maintained to eliminate “second trips” and, therefore, minimise vehicle mileages. We also offer regular refresher sessions to their drivers and crew to make sure they are up-to-date on best practices when it comes to economical driving and packing vans.

We are committed to cutting down on all manner of waste in workspaces, whether it is paper, metal, plastic or cardboard. Everything in our offices and warehouses is separated and recycled to ensure that the impact on our local landfills is kept to a minimum.

We encourage all office staff to car share to reduce fuel emissions and, therefore, to further minimise our carbon footprint.

We ensure that all our staff have undergone the Eco Learning Hub ‘Sustainability in Hospitality’ course – a CPD-accredited course which certifies those that reach a high level of environmental awareness, allowing each individual and team member to create their own action plan to reduce carbon emissions.
